Tenor saxophonist Alexander Beierbach’s quartet The Tigers of Love from Berlin stands in the tradition of those quartets of Gerry Mulligan or Ornette Coleman without instruments as piano or guitar. The individual orientation of the band’s members goes to 80ies pop music as well as to European improvised music and Klezmer or Drum'n'Bass.
