Georg Ruby`s recent duo project is uncompromisingly dedicated to "instant composings", spontaneously - on stage or in recording situations - developed improvisations without any guideline or prior agreement. His partner in crime is bass clarinet player Michel Pilz, one of the worldwide most experienced and highly imaginative musicians in improvised music. The focus of the duo`s interaction lies on the pure lust for intensive ensemble playing, sometimes simply enjoying the sound of noises, whether in a groove or not, free tonal or harmonically bound. The music of Michel Pilz and Georg Ruby fascinates with an extraordinary richness of colours and with its enormous musical sense of humour.
