With "Bambostic" Jan Klare honors the music of Earl Bostic (1913-1965), US-American alto saxophonist, arranger and composer, who, in his projects crossing jazz, rhythm & blues and dancehall, has created impressive pieces of music. Jan Klare`s concept combines both the physicality and rhythmical energy of Earl Bostic`s play with his own uncompromising out-carving and transforming of Bostic`s groove parameters. Klare centrifugalises, distorts and re-constructs with "Bambostic" the strikingly effective compositions of the US American and pays tribute to the extremely virtuoso and artistic side of his always good-to-dance-to music.
