Stefan Bauer has been living in the USA for many years and is a proven expert on a wide variety of concepts in the field of jazz improvisation. Pretty much since the days of 9/11, he now lives in New York and - like most of the musicians there - often works on several projects at the same time. One of these projects, being pools of ideas, is Bauer's duo with Cologne flutist Michael Heupel.
The concert at the "Vibraphonissimo" festival (in January 2020), which was celebrated by the audience, was recorded by Bayerischer Rundfunk and part of it found its way onto "tête-à-tête", Bauer & Heupel's first CD production as a duo.
